Dress code

For the wedding itself, we want all our guests to feel comfortable.

In general, men will be wearing suits, mostly dark. There will be some colourful exceptions.

Ladies will generally wear dresses.

The overall tone will be formal, but not stuffy.

The Lansdowne Club has its own rules.

Although the wedding will be a private occasion, it is worth being aware of a couple of rules that apply.

The good news, though, is that as the wedding is held in the middle of a four day weekend, the weekend more relaxed dress code applies throughout.

“Men must wear conventional jacket and collared shirt and women must be smartly dressed.

Jeans/denim, casual trousers, trainers and fashion sports shoes are not acceptable.

At the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) jackets are not required but no denim, jeans or trainers are permitted at any time, including in the Dining Room for breakfast.

Mobile phones must be switched off on entering the building and may not be used in public areas – although they may be used in the private rooms.”
